Harmony Baptist Church 2011 - 2012 Committees

This year a rotating system was implemented.  Most committee assignments will have a duration period of three years.  For the system to function effectively and to begin the process, each committee member was given a certain number of years (from 1 to 3) to serve.  For example, if the committee has six members, one third of the team would rotate off each year.  Of course, some committees have more than six members and some fewer, which factor in to the Nominating Committee's work.  Also, a current member can be re-nominated after serving their term without any waiting period.

Standing Committees are those that are deemed necessary by the Nominating Committee for the church to do its work.  They will operate on a rotation system.  Permanent Committees are those that require a certain amount of expertise and regular training.  Each member serves until removed by the Nominating Committee or retirement by the specific member.
